VACCINATION CERTIFICATION
All guests and employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at least two weeks prior to boarding the yacht. Acceptable proof of COVID-19 vaccination must be in the form of the original vaccination record document issued by the country’s health authority. Photographs of a vaccination card will not be accepted. Approved vaccines include Pfizer/BionTech, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca/Oxford.
The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection welcomes families to sail with us. Children ages five years and older are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to sail. Children under the age of five and ineligible to be vaccinated will be permitted to sail, on the condition that they follow testing requirements.
TESTING REQUIREMENTS
With the continual evolution of testing requirements for international travel, we recommend that guests familiarise themselves with the government public health website for their country of entry to ensure any additional requirements are met before departure. At this time, guests will be required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 72 hours prior to boarding the yacht. In addition, guests will be required to take a complimentary COVID-19 test at the time of check-in and may be asked to periodically undergo testing throughout the voyage at the discretion of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. Departure tests will be offered as a convenience for guests in order to fulfil any requirements needed for their post-voyage travels. Guests booked on consecutive voyages will be required to take a COVID-19 test prior to the start of each subsequent voyage.
HEALTHY SAILING BEST PRACTICES
In this new age of travel, we expect to implement health and safety protocols that we have become increasingly accustomed to such as touchless temperature checks and highly visible sanitation efforts throughout the yacht. While face coverings will be mandatory for all employees, face coverings for guests will be required in public spaces, terminals and shore excursions and we will adjust the policy as regulations and local requirements allow. As customary with cruise travel, guests will also be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to boarding. By design, the yacht offers one of the highest space ratios at sea, which will allow for physical distancing in public spaces onboard where possible.
CONTACT TRACING AND ISOLATION PROTOCOLS
In the event that a guest tests positive during their voyage, the Medical, Guest Services and Security teams will employ a comprehensive process to pinpoint and trace guests and/or employees who have been in close contact. Individuals identified as a close contact will be asked to remain in their suite and cooperate in completing the contact tracing and testing protocol. Guests who test positive must self-isolate in their suite and a complimentary second test will be provided. If those traveling in the same suite as the guest do not test positive, alternative accommodations will be offered, where available. Every effort will be made to ensure the care and comfort of any guest under suite isolation.
SAFETY ASHORE
To ensure a more controlled environment in the destinations we visit, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection highly recommends that guests participate in the tours offered in The Shore Collection program. By design, tours are offered in intimate group sizes or can be transformed into private experiences. We are also working closely with our operators to ensure the tour guides guests interact with, transportation vehicles utilised, and venues visited ashore align with the same health and safety protocols that we employ on board the yacht. We do foresee that guests will be permitted to go ashore independently to explore on their own or on an organised tour dependent on regional and local regulations.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
For added peace of mind and to safeguard your investment, travel insurance is highly recommended. The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection Travel Protection Program (available to U.S. residents only) is a package of travel insurance coverage and non-insurance emergency assistance services designed to meet the particular needs of our guests. One benefit is that the program reimburses you for cancellation penalties or provides reimbursement for the unused portion of your trip should it be interrupted, when you are forced to cancel or interrupt your trip due to a covered reason. COVID-19 is a covered sickness under The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection Travel Protection Program. In the event that you become unexpectedly ill before your trip, the plan may reimburse you for charges that are assessed due to cancellation.
