Where everyone will feel comfortable. Plenty of room for you and your personal needs - creating a relaxing family holiday. In the Family Apartments, children and parents live in two separate areas connected by a door and a balcony. The furniture of one of the living areas has been tailored especially for our younger passengers.

Restaurant Weltmeere is the biggest restaurant on board. It is located at the stern of the ship and is quite striking thanks to its spacious room concept.

The little sister of the Sansibar on the German island Sylt has seen a lot more of the world. The view from the open-air bar across the ocean and the parties on the dance floor, with DJ music pumping, are simply unforgettable. Plus, it’s also a fantastic location for a late breakfast or a small bite to eat in the afternoon or evening.

Providing breathtaking panoramic views when the ship is entering or leaving the harbour, the Belvedere is the ideal place to enjoy a little time out. But it’s also an atmospheric lounge with a library, where select coffee and tea specialities are served. Readings and concerts are also held here.

Culinary enjoyment on the sun deck.

In the pool or at the poolside bar – which is the best place for maximum refreshment? This relaxed meeting place on the Pool Deck serves snacks at breakfast and lunch-time, and our famous waffles in the afternoon, plus fresh juices and coffee specialities. It then takes on a laid-back bar atmosphere until late into the evening.

The sea can be experienced particularly intensively on the spacious teak pool deck. Impressive focal point is the long pool that invites guests to calmly swim their lengths or exercise with gentle aqua-fitness. Here, at the heart of the EUROPA 2, there is plenty of room for each individual guest to let his thoughts wander and simply do nothing. Comfortable sun lounges are available for every guest to enjoy either the sun or shade – both in pleasant airy as well as sheltered areas.

We will be happy to provide you and your child (aged up to and including 3 years of age) with the EUROPA 2 baby essentials kit. This includes, for example, a selection of baby food and care products.

Small seafarers and big ones alike should feel right at home on board our ships from the very first moment of the cruise. As soon as they step foot on board, Cap’n Knopf will be waiting to take the little ones by the paw and show them safely around the ship.

On the EUROPA 2, we have created the Knopf Club* to give two- and three-year olds their own space to play. Professionally trained carers take great care of each and every tiny tot, and there is plenty for them to discover here. Games in the ball pit, setting out to explore the world on the sensory wall or listening to great stories in the Steiff cuddle lounge – every day is packed with possibilities. And when little seafarers can hardly keep their eyes open after all this activity, they can take a nap in a cot in the security of the Knopf Club* both during the day and during the evening sleeping supervision, so that they will wake up refreshed and looking forward to new experiences at sea.

Young seafarers aged from four to ten meet up at the Kids’ Club, where new friendships are formed, where children can paint, play and do handicrafts to their heart’s content – and where many a young traveller makes plans for further discovery. The Kids’ Club is also the starting point for lots of great activities, such as the ship safari and a visit with the captain. And because travel widens our horizons and makes us curious to discover the unknown, young seafarers can also look forward to an educational programme that is both exciting and child-oriented. How about a cookery course, for example, a tour of the bridge, or some great experiments in the research laboratory on the EUROPA 2?

No matter how much they love their family, teenagers want to go their own way, delighting in the freedom to do what they want and follow their own interests. All that is exactly what our young passengers will find in our Teens’ Club (EUROPA 2). In the relaxed atmosphere here, teens can compete with one another on a Wii or PlayStation, show off their skills at table football, or simply chill out with new friends. On board the EUROPA young seafarers aged between four and twelve meet in the playroom. Older children are welcome to take part in this programme.

Organising a fabulous party together with the Teens’ Club team, or learning the latest dance moves in a choreography workshop – it’s up to the teens themselves to decide what else happens on board the ship. The special teens’ excursions* ashore also provide a wide range of choices and activities to suit every taste. The programme includes exciting Zodiac excursions and many other action-packed adventures. At some holiday destinations, for example, teens can combine exploration with sport – such as on a mountain-bike or kayak tour.

In the OCEAN SPA, by contrast, everything revolves around relaxation: fancy a styling course or a soothing massage? The teens’ SPA offers* cater specifically for the needs of our young guests.

Children up to and including 11 years of age travel for free when staying in the suite of one or two fully paying guardians. Children from 12 up to and including 15 years of age pay € 90 (US$ 110/£ 80) a night when staying in a suite of one or two fully paying passengers.
